The Marshall University men’s soccer team wrapped up their 2019 season Sunday night with a loss to the Washington Huskies in the sweet 16 round of the NCAA College Cup.
It was the conclusion of a special season for the Thundering Herd which included such accolades as the program’s first Conference USA Championship (both regular season and postseason), a Conference USA Golden Glove award for Paulo Pita, a Conference USA Coach of the Year award for Chris Grassie, the highest national ranking in program history (11), four straight wins over ranked opponents, their first NCAA College Cup appearance and win (over WVU), and a sweet 16 NCAA College Cup finish.
