While a quick look at the box score would make one think Saturday’s matchup between the Marshall Thundering Herd and the Owls of Florida Atlantic was close, it was anything but as the boys in green put on a show in front of a packed homecoming crowd of 23,825 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium recording five turnovers and ending Devin Singletary’s streak of games with a touchdown at 19.

In his third start for the Herd, quarterback Alex Thomson completed 13/24 passes for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tyler King also recorded his third consecutive 100-yard rushing game (the seventh of his two-year career) as Marshall steamrolled the Owls 31-7.

The Herd is now 5-2 (3-1) on the season and now heads into their bye week before facing off agains the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
