The Marshall University Thundering Herd football squad had to dig in for a hard-fought battle to win 33-31 over the Ohio Bobcats Saturday night at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
It was the 60th meeting between the two programs since they first played each other in 1905. Ohio leads the series 33–21–6. This win moves the Herd to 2-1 on the season as they head into a bye week before facing the Cincinnati Bearcats in Huntington on Sept. 28 at 5 p.m.
