The Marshall Thundering Herd men’s basketball team (1-0) opened regular season play with a 67-60 win Thursday night against the Colonials of Robert Morris University in front of a rowdy crowd at the Cam Henderson Center.

The boys in kelly green seemed to be working out some kinks in their first game of the regular season. Despite going into the halftime break up 33-27, the Herd could never quite get much elbow room from the Colonials allowing them to keep play competitive all the way to the end of the contest and even taking the lead late in the second half. However, stellar defensive play and a few made foul shots in the final stretch would seal the game for Marshall.

The Thundering Herd will next host the Toledo Rockets on Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 PM from the Cam Henderson Center. Photos by Aaron-Michael Fox below:
