Huntington-based architectural firm Edward Tucker Architects (ETA) announced a leadership change on Monday. ETA is a prominent, award-winning architectural firm with an emphasis on educational, medical, government, public safety, and adaptive reuse.
First known as “Edward Tucker, Architect,” the ETA firm officially opened on August 1, 1996 through the acquisition of the firm Dean and Dean Architects, established in 1910 by Levi Johnson Dean.
Under Edward Tucker’s leadership, ETA has become a cornerstone of the Huntington community, known for its innovative, award-winning designs. Locally, such projects include The Progress Building, The Stephen J. Kopp Pharmacy Building, the Joseph L. Williams Fire Station, and the Soupy Sales Plaza at the Marshall Health Network Arena, among others.
As of July 1, 2024, Phoebe Patton Randolph has assumed the role of President at ETA, succeeding the founding principal Edward Tucker, who will remain as Principal Architect. Additionally, Amber Yost has been promoted to Principal of Interior Design.
Ms. Randolph expressed excitement at the prospect of her new role in the firm: “It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to honor Ed’s legacy along with the architectural heritage of our firm as President of Edward Tucker Architects,” Randolph said. “I am committed to sustaining our firm as a resource for our community and our region, with the next generation of architects and designers.”
Ms. Yost was similarly hopeful for her new position: “I am both excited and honored to step into my new role as Principal of Interior Design. I am committed to continuing the established legacy of ETA, and believe by bridging the gap between Architecture and Interior Design, we have the unique opportunity to provide truly integrated designs to our clients and community.”
Edward Tucker conveyed his confidence in the new leadership team saying, “It is very gratifying to know the firm is in good hands with leaders that understand the impact of design on people and communities. I am confident that Phoebe will elevate the firm to another level and am excited to see Amber in her new role.”
