Stage and internet sensation Theo Von returns to the Jewel City for a night of comedy at the Mountain Health Arena on November 11, 2023. Time TBA.

 

Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski, known professionally as “Theo Von,” grew up in the “stray animal belt” of southern Louisiana with his older brother and two younger sisters.

Von began his professional entertainment career in 2000 on MTV’s “Road Rules” when he was just 19 years old and still a student at Louisiana State University. After that, he starred in the “Real World/Road Rules Challenge,” also on MTV.

 

In 2006, on Season 4 of “Last Comic Standing” on NBC, Von won the online competition.

 

Von went on to beat out Amy Schumer, Bert Kreischer, and Tiffany Haddish and win the Comedy Central sketch competition show “Reality Bites Back.”

 

The “Rat King” was a regular at the old Huntington Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant in Pullman Square in the early 2000s (see below).

 

 

Von recorded a 30-minute Comedy Central special in 2012 and a Netflix one-hour special called “No Offense” in 2016.

 

Theo can be seen and heard weekly on his wildly popular podcasts “This Past Weekend” and “King And The Sting,” which garner millions of listens and views a month. His new comedy special “Theo Von: Regular People” was filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and is now streaming on Netflix.
