The Marshall men’s basketball team tied a school record of 19 made 3-pointers as the Thundering Herd steamrolled Mount St. Mary’s 98-75 in front of another packed house at the Cam Henderson Center. This is the fourth time the Herd has achieved such a mark with three of those coming under Coach Dan D’Antoni in the last two seasons.

The game looked to be in question early on, but midway through the first half, the boys in kelly green started to assert their will, taking the lead and never relinquishing it. The Herd led by double digits for the remainder of the contest as Marshall moved on to notch their third win of the season in as many games on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary’s have never won a trip to the Mountain State in six tries. The previous five losses came at the hands of the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown.

The Herd will play the third of a three-game run of home games against North Carolina A&T on Monday, November 19, at 7 p.m.
