Hawai’i comes to Huntington for the Tri-State’s first authentic luau on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 3 p.m. – midnight!
The 2022 “Foam & Glow Luau” festival is the product of local event firm Imperial Events in a partnership with HulaDancers.com. The two event promotors have teamed up for one of Huntington’s most ambitious festivals ever, according to a press release.
The festival will include live professional hula dancers, Samoan fire-knife performers, authentic Hawai’ian music, limbo, hula lessons, ukulele lessons, a hula-hoop contest, a costume contest, and more.
“Our mission is to bring a vacation paradise destination to locals that’s only a drive to the park away this Labor Day weekend!” said Nathan Carter of Imperial Events. “With everything going on, not everyone had the chance to take a vacation this year, so we decided to bring the vacation to you. You can expect authentic Hula Dancers, Samoan Fire Knife Performances, limbo contests, live music, vendors, food trucks and more! Stay late for the FOAM & GLOW DANCE PARTY where you can jump into the foam pit and get sprayed by neon paint!”
The festival begins at 3 p.m. at Harris Riverfront Park on the Ohio River. Veterans Memorial Boulevard will be closed between 10th Street and 12th Street to accommodate pedestrian traffic crossing into the park.
This is a family-friendly event and children under 5 are admitted free. Tickets to Huntington’s Foam & Glow Luau start at $10 and can be purchased HERE.
